dc.description.abstractHealthy Go is a healthy food catering service dedicated to promoting healthier lifestyles. This internship seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical and practical knowledge in food science and nutrition by producing well-balanced, high-protein meal boxes for each batch of 14 meals while maintaining uniformity throughout all areas. Input data for nutrition facts labels, the creation of meal and detail indicators, and the estimation of food costs to ensure nutritionally adequate and balanced meal compartments were among the primary responsibilities. Additionally, efforts were made to ensure that all necessary ingredients were always available based on predetermined indicators, allowing for consistent meal preparation throughout every area. Meals were kept in line with dietary restrictions, allergies, or intolerances by creating alternate food options in response to customer-specific dietary preferences. Weighing dummy and d-day meals to assure precise conformity to weight indicators and working with the product development team to produce products with the best possible nutritional value and sensory qualities were additional responsibilities. Critical skills like teamwork, time management, and communication were gained throughout this internship in addition to giving the student hands-on working experience. With all aspects considered, this internship effectively trained the intern to apply food science and nutrition principles in the healthy food catering or other food and beverage sectors.en_US
