Abstract: Dengue is a disease that causes a global burden in some countries, there are at least 30 countries stated that they’re having an endemic in dengue. Over the past two decades there are an estimated of a 390 million cases yearly and roughly about 20.000 deaths. Indonesia is one out of 30 countries that are stated as endemic. Several diagnostics tools was mentioned and used as a golden standard for dengue diagnostics such as viral isolation, nucleic acid amplification testing, antigen detection and also serological test. However, each of these mentioned diagnostics has its own limitations. Thus, in this study we decided to design a diagnostics tools for dengue serotypes using loop amplification mediated isothermal (LAMP) which is known to be able to detect various disease such as dengue in this case. LAMP is also known to have a high accuracy and sensitivity as well as being cost efficient. Thus, this study was done to design a LAMP primer that could be used to detect dengue serotypes.
