Abstract: Drug-drug interac ons (DDIs) are de9ned as events in which two or more drugs, when coadministered to a pa ent, can lead to changed systemic exposure, resul ng in varying drug responses of the co-administered drugs (Ranganathan, Gribskov, Nakai, & Schönbach, 2019). DDIs have been one major concern to be tackled in order to ensure pa ents’ safety and well-being; a study carried out by Rahmawa , Handayani, and Gosal (2006) revealed that drug interac ons occurred in 59% of hospitalised pa ents and 69% of outpa ents; for the former, 125 drug interac ons were reported, with 48 incidences of DDIs, and the rest comprising drug-food interac ons (DFIs). On the other hand, 128 outpa ent incidences of drug interac ons were reported, 47 of them involving DDIs, and 81 of them involving DFIs.
