Abstract: This project aims to evaluate the cleaning capacities of a non-irritant, sulfate free organic dog shampoo. Surfactants play a vital role in shaping product characteristics. Coco glucoside and cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB) were used as the surfactants of this experiment for its non irritant properties. Additionally, CAPB's amphoteric nature proves valuable in dispersing solid ingredients efficiently. Although foam volume exhibited variation across samples without a clear ingredient correlation, it was able to put a sufficient amount of foam. Regarding relative density, it generally adhered to the acceptable standards, but minor adjustments could be made by carefully altering surfactant and water quantities. Additionally, CAPB displayed commendable detergency ability in some samples, and all samples successfully passed the dirt dispersion test. Overall, these findings show that the product has passed the cleaning capacity evaluation.
