dc.description.abstract | Skin types condition can cause different skin problems. Skin types can be divided into 2 which are dry and oily skin. Dry skin is more prone into having wrinkles due aging and less production of collagen on the skin. Aging of the skin can be caused by long exposure to ultraviolet light. Skin aging can be combated with antioxidant compound. This compound able to scavenge free radical which sequentially reduces oxidative stress that are induced by ultra violet (UV) radiation. While, oily skin tends to have problems with acne due to overgrown population of bacteria. Antibacterial activities can kill the bacteria that caused acne. These problems can be reduced with daily skincare routine. Daily skincare routine is proven to be able to keep the skin healthy. One of the newest innovations is sheet mask, that only need 15 minutes of applying to be absorb yet effective. Natural ingredients have been used as remedies for skin problems either by digestion or applying directly on the skin. Natural ingredients have antioxidant compound and some have antibacterial agent that can be used for potential sheet mask production. Hence, XR SKIN exploring the best natural ingredient candidate to be utilized in their upcoming new sheet mask product. This study reveals that cucumber, shoeblack plant, pomegranate, watermelon, tomato and quinoa bioester can be used to aid dry skin due to their moisturizing agent. Avocado, pomegranate, tomato, cucumber and rice water have antibacterial activity that can be used to prevent acne. | en_US |
