Abstract: Malnutrition in children often occurs, especially among employed and low socioeconomic mothers, due to poor complementary feeding practices and low nutritional intake, exposing them to a high risk of illness and mortality. Consequently, an obvious increase in demand for commercial baby foods due to rising awareness among parents to adequately fulfil their children's nutritional requirements, thus, many companies have begun to develop commercial baby foods (CBFs) as their flagship products. Prior to product launch, several stages of the new product development (NPD) process must be accomplished. Therefore, the internship was aimed to learn about NPD processes and strategies to aid the company's NPD process. As an intern, Google Scholar was mostly used to complete the responsibilities that were limited to idea generation, consumer research, competitor study, sourcing, and operational strategy. The results showed that a proposed proposal should be written in a brief and concise manner, that new insight was gained after discovering similarities in competitors' products, a better understanding of consumer pain points prior to developing products, an improvement on kitchen process, and a high number of failures in the sourcing stages due to various requirements and abandonment. Therefore, in order to improve the company flow efficiency in the future, it is recommended to establish a protocol for kitchen workers to perform more properly and timelines for each cooperation for future company flow efficiency.
