Abstract: Hydrogel is widely used as the wound dressing due to its promising activity of biocompatibility , flexibility, and high retention water activity. Pectin is utilized as the polymer since it has a desired chemical interaction with a crosslinking agent. The addition of thiol group in the pectin is expected to improve the permeability properties. Keratin extract is also added into the hydrogel due to wound healig activity. Hydrogels are fabricated with the presence of clindamycin as the drug carrier to help inhibit bacteria proliferation.
