Abstract: Chronic inflammation is a significant contributor to various non-communicable diseases (NCDs), and trigonelline has shown potential in modulating inflammatory responses by affecting cytokine production and gene expression. The study investigates the anti-inflammatory effects of trigonelline, a compound derived from fenugreek seeds, on LPS-induced RAW 264.7 macrophage cells. The primary objective is to evaluate how trigonelline influences the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-6, and to assess its impact on the expression of related genes using techniques like ELISA and RT-qPCR. The hypothesis posits that trigonelline can suppress inflammatory cytokines while promoting anti-inflammatory gene expression, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic agent for inflammation-related conditions. This research contributes to the understanding of natural compounds in managing inflammation and their implications for health.
